History: The fragrant plant used to extract the essential oil is the Pelargonium Gravolens, originating from South Africa. Geranium has been used for centuries for regenerating and treating skin conditions. Since ancient times, geranium is well recognized for its therapeutic values.
PROPERTIES:
Antidepressant, anti-inflammatory, antiseptic, astringent, cicatrisant, tonic, vulnerary, relaxant.
For Personal care: Sedative properties may help calm mild anxiety and reduce stress. Traditionally used in aromatherapy to help relieve nervous tension and irritability. Geranium oil may help with balancing hormones, supporting menstrual cycle regularity in perimenopause and improving mood.Aromatherapy massage with Geranium oil may be effective for improving pre-menstrual syndrome (PMS) by increasing cerebral blood flow and improving depression.
For Skin care: When used on skin, Geranium oil helps balance sebum for any skin types, including oily or congested skin, eczema and dermatitis. Effective in preventing and relieving inflammatory skin conditions. May help encourage new cell growth for minor burns, wounds and ulcers, which can prevent or reduce scarring.
